Nicole Bence

Network Digital Sales Director - Seven Network / IAB Australia Chair

Nicole is one of Australia’s leading digital, data and print media executives. She joined Seven West Media in February 2020 from Pacific Magazines, where she led its commercial team. Previously Nicole was Digital Commercial Director at NOVA Entertainment and led the sales and strategy for kidspot.com.au and taste.com.au at News Corp Australia’s NewsLifeMedia.

Nicole was elected Chair of IAB Australia in February 2021. 

Matt Rowley

CEO, Pedestrian Group

Pedestrian Group is Australia’s leading youth publisher and the home of PEDESTRIAN.TV, Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Kotaku, Popsugar, Amex Openair Cinemas and Tinder. It is wholly owned by Australia’s largest and most diverse media company, Nine Entertainment.

Matt has diverse experience in Media, having been a global marketer before running and owning creative agencies in London. After returning to Australia in 2013 he held the roles of Chief Revenue Officer for Fairfax Media and Sales Director, Publishing for Nine Entertainment, before taking the helm at Pedestrian Group in 2019.

Paul Bates

National Sales Director Media, REA Group

Paul brings to the IAB more than 20 years experience in media and marketing across the UK and Australia. Prior to joining REA Group Paul was the National Sales Director at Yahoo7. In his current role Paul is National Sales Director for the Media division of the REA Group with leadership across sales, content and programmatic teams.           

Suzie Cardwell

General Manager Data & Ad Product Solutions

Suzie has a proven track record in leading digital transformation strategies and new digital products that achieve commercial growth. In her current role at News Corp she leads the development of a publisher-first, SaaS data and advertising sales platform. With deep experience of digital and data platform development Suzie leads cross-functional teams in commercially-driven technology change. 

Dan Stinton

Managing Director, The Guardian Australia

Dan is a digital media and technology professional with experience across media, startups and corporate strategy. He is responsible for the strategy, business planning and leadership of all commercial and operational aspects of The Guardian Australia. 

Rhys Williams

Managing Director of Large Customer Sales, Google Australia/NZ

Rhys Williams is Google’s Managing Director of Large Customer Sales, Australia/NZ, where he leads a team of sales and product specialists to help marketers, agencies and partners to harness the power of Google’s advertising, measurement and technology solutions.  Rhys is a member of Google’s AUNZ Leadership team, is an active industry speaker and represents Google on the IAB Australia board. Rhys holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Maj. Marketing) from UWS in Sydney.   

Rhys thrives at the intersection of media and technology, and is passionate about the transformative role that digital technology plays in marketing and media. 


Mark Bamford

Director, Simpsons Solicitors

Mark is a Director at Simpsons Solicitors and has over 18 years of experience in private practice working within the media, communications, and entertainment sectors. His experience covers corporate and finance law, media and broadcast regulation as well as trade practices. His clients include participants in the digital media industry as well as international and local film, television and music companies. Mark is also currently a board member of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA).

Paul Sigaloff

Vice President ANZ INSEA at Yahoo

Paul has over 20 years experience in media across the UK and Australia. Paul launched Verizon Media in the ANZ market and leads its portfolio of dynamic digital media and technology brands including Yahoo across Australia and New Zealand. With a personal passion to ‘move the world forward for good’ Paul has transformed the business’ CSR program and embedded social responsibility into the company’s fabric, all while improving the company’s commercial results and employee engagement. Earlier this year Paul was appointed a board member of industry social purpose organisation UnLtd following several years of active involvement. Additionally as a board member of the IAB, Paul influences digital standards and trends that shape the media industry.

Naomi Shepherd

Group Industry Director, Facebook

Naomi is an experienced digital executive with a passion for finding innovative and agile solutions. She has worked at Facebook for the past seven years and prior to her present role was Head of Brand. 

Davor Vilusic

Commercial Director (Strategy, Trading, Ad Operations), carsales

Davor is a passionate media professional with over 16 years of commercial experience across complimentary digital channels in affiliate marketing, programmatic and data marketplace, online classifieds and media agency. In his current role, Davor is carsales’ Commercial Director of Media, with leadership over Strategy, Trading and Ad Operations. Prior to joining carsales he was Group Managing Director at Audience360 and previously spent over 7 years with Dentsu ANZ.

Angus Keene

Acting Managing Director, Twitter Australia

As Chair of the IAB Australia Executive Technology Council, Angus represents this group on the IAB Board. Angus is a business leader with over 20 years of experience working with leading local and global digital businesses. Angus is currently the Acting Managing Director, responsible for leading the strategy, revenue, and local operations for the platform across Australia and New Zealand. Since joining Twitter, Angus has become instrumental in the rapid growth and adoption of its social, native video, and premium content solutions.

Gai Le Roy

CEO, IAB Australia

Gai is a media executive with over 20 years experience and currently leads, IAB Australia, Australia’s peak digital advertising industry body.
